DC35 Animal is the new Dyson Digital Slim vacuum cleaner. It has twice the suction power of any other lightweight cordless vacuum cleaner in use. It comes with a Mini motorised tool designed to remove pet hair and ground-in dirt from carpets and upholstery.

Dyson engineers developed DC35 Animal for versatile spot cleaning – it’s suitable for every floor surface: carpet, ceramic, vinyl and wood. It has a motorised floor tool with two types of brushes. Ultra-fine conductive carbon fibre brushes remove fine dust from hard floors. Rotating nylon bristles remove ground-in dirt from carpet.

The detachable long-reach wand is made from lightweight aluminium. It reaches high, low and into awkward gaps. You can also remove it and use DC35 Animal as a handheld. A docking station conveniently stores and recharges the machine when not in use. The battery can also be recharged separately from the machine.

The dual power mode on DC35 Animal enables 15 minutes of constant high suction (13 minutes with motorised floor tool attached) for large cleans, or 6 minutes on MAX power for more difficult tasks.

The problem is that when you use them, these tiny holes quickly clog up with particles of dust. This chokes the flow of air, so the vacuum cleaner loses suction.

Motorised floor tool with carbon fibre brushes

The motorised floor tool on DC35 Animal has two types of brushes for different floor surfaces. The carbon fibre brush bar has rows of ultra fine filaments engineered to remove dust from hard floors. These filaments are made from pure carbon fibre, selected for its anti-static properties. There are also stiff nylon bristles for carpets. They spin up to 1,400 times a minute, removing ground-in dirt. There’s also a Mini motorised tool for removing pet hair.

Detachable long-reach wand
